What OpexFlow Does
How OpexFlow closes the gap between shop-floor machines and the OpexMX maintenance layer.
What OpexFlow Does
OpexFlow is the middleware that connects machines to OpexMX so maintenance acts on real condition, not guesswork.
The Gap It Closes
- Silent machines — PLCs and sensors run, but the CMMS never sees what they actually produce or fail at.
- Manual rounds — technicians read gauges and log values hours after the fact, if at all.
- Reactive maintenance — without signals, work orders fire only after breakdown.
Architecture In One Line
Edge devices read protocols, normalize the data, and publish it to OpexMX through a buffered pipeline.
- Edge layer — Raspberry Pi running the Edge Connector, or a Windows host running the FOCAS Agent.
- Spine — MQTT carries messages off the floor.
- Cloud layer — OpexMX ingests, stores, and triggers maintenance events.
What You Get
Real-time status, alarms as work-order triggers, and a digital twin that reflects the floor as it is now.
Tips
Treat OpexFlow as plumbing, not a project. Get one machine streaming before you scope the rest.
