Workflows & Approvals
Configurable approval flows for work orders, purchases, and changes; routing and escalation.
Workflows & Approvals
Not every action should be one click away. Configurable approval workflows in OpexMX gate work orders, purchases, and changes behind the right sign-off — so control does not depend on memory or goodwill.
What You Can Gate
- Work orders — high-cost or high-risk jobs require a manager's nod
- Purchases — spend above a threshold routes for approval
- Changes — asset or procedure changes go through review
How Routing Works
- Define a trigger — amount, asset class, or work type
- Assign approvers — by role or named person
- Set an escalation path — what happens if no one acts in time
- Notify — the right people, on the right channel
Escalation
An approval that sits in someone's inbox is a bottleneck. Escalation moves it up the chain after a deadline so work does not stall.
Tips
Keep approval tiers shallow. Every extra layer adds latency without much added control — two well-chosen gates usually beat six cosmetic ones.
