Document Control
Versioned policies and procedures, controlled access, and links to compliance evidence.
Document Control
Policies, procedures, and work instructions only work if people hold the current version. Document control in OpexMX keeps them versioned, access-controlled, and linkable to the records that depend on them.
What Gets Controlled
- Maintenance procedures and SOPs
- Safety and environmental policies
- Compliance evidence — certificates, test results, approvals
Versioning
- Each edit creates a new version, not an overwrite
- The previous version is retained and retrievable
- Reviewers and dates are attached to every version
- The current version is unambiguous
Controlled Access
- Grant access by role, not by ask
- Revoke cleanly when someone changes role
- Audit who viewed or downloaded what
Linking to Compliance
Attach the relevant procedure or certificate to the work order or asset it governs. An auditor following a record should reach the controlling document in one click.
Tips
Schedule periodic reviews of every controlled document. A procedure no one has looked at in two years is either obsolete or quietly wrong.
