Find the Gaps
- Required vs. held — compare what each role needs against what each tech has.
- Coverage view — see which skills have only one qualified person, a single point of failure.
- Expiring-soon filter — gaps created by upcoming cert expirations.
Plan and Close
- Export the gap list per skill or per person.
- Assign training records to close each gap.
- Re-assess the level when training completes; the matrix updates.
Tips
Prioritize single-point-of-failure skills first. If only one tech can calibrate a critical instrument, that is not a gap — it is a risk with a deadline.
