Attaching SOPs to Work Orders
Attach SOPs to work orders so the right instruction surfaces in context, with version history and role-based visibility.
Attaching SOPs to Work Orders
An SOP attached to the work order shows up exactly when the tech needs it, not buried in a shared drive they have to hunt for.
How It Works
- Attach on template — link an SOP once at the template level and every spawned work order inherits it.
- Attach on the fly — add a specific instruction to a one-off job when something unusual is happening.
- Versioning — publish a new revision and OpexMX keeps the history, so you can prove which version a tech followed.
Who Sees What
- Techs see the current published version and any attached photos.
- Supervisors see version history and approval status.
- Auditors see a read-only trail of which revision was used on which job.
Tips
Review your top ten SOPs every quarter. If a revision is more than a year old, it has probably drifted from how the work is actually done.
