The Ticketing System

Capture alarms, sensor readings, and operator requests as tickets, triage them by priority, and convert the real ones into work orders.

The Ticketing System

Tickets are how unplanned work enters OpexMX. An alarm, a sensor reading, or a person on the floor creates a ticket, and the crew triages it before it becomes a work order.

Where Tickets Come From

  • Alarms and sensors — automated readings breach a threshold and a ticket is created.
  • Operator requests — anyone can submit a request describing what they saw.
  • Inspections — a round or audit surfaces a defect that needs tracking.

The Triage Flow

  1. A ticket lands in the queue with whatever context the source provided.
  2. A supervisor prioritizes it against open work and crew capacity.
  3. The right action is chosen: schedule, defer, or convert to a work order.
  4. On convert, the ticket's details carry into the new work order — no re-typing.

Tips

Set clear priority rules before the queue gets busy. Triage gets harder under pressure, and a written rulebook saves the debate.
