Linking a document to an asset means the right manual surfaces automatically on every work order for that asset. The tech never has to go looking.

How to Link

  1. Open the asset record in the register.
  2. Add the relevant documents from the Knowledge Center.
  3. Tag each link (manual, schematic, SOP) so the tech knows what they are opening.
  4. Confirm the link appears on a sample work order.

Why It Pays Off

  • The correct manual is one tap away from the work order, not a search away.
  • Revisions propagate — update the doc once and every linked asset sees the new version.
  • New techs get the same context as veterans without asking.

Tips

Audit your asset-doc links whenever you add a new asset class. A register without linked docs is half-finished.
