Creating Your First Asset

An asset is anything you maintain — a machine, a vehicle, a section of roof. Getting the record right sets up every work order and report downstream.

The Essentials

• Name and ID — something scannable and unique
• Parent — where it sits in the hierarchy
• Location — physical placement
• Criticality — how much an outage hurts

Steps

1. Open Assets and click New Asset
2. Name it and place it under the right parent
3. Set location and criticality
4. Save — you can enrich it with attributes and documents later
