MCP Server and AI Agents
Connect Claude, Cursor, or any AI agent to OpexMX through the MCP server with per-person keys and 20+ ready tools.
MCP Server and AI Agents
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server connects Claude, Cursor, or any AI agent to OpexMX so they can read and act on live maintenance data.
What Agents Get
- 20+ ready tools — create tickets, assign work, check inventory, find assets.
- Auto-available features — new OpexMX capabilities show up without a rebuild.
- Live data — agents query the same data your team sees in the UI.
Per-Person Keys
Each person connects with their own key. The AI can only do what that person is permitted — if a technician cannot approve work orders, neither can their agent.
Connecting an Agent
- Generate a personal key in Settings.
- Paste it into Claude, Cursor, or your MCP client.
- Confirm the tools list loads.
- Try a simple action like "find asset P-104".
What Agents Can and Cannot Do
They cannot exceed the user's role, bypass approvals, or see restricted assets.
Tips
Rotate keys when someone changes roles, and revoke them on departure.
